As partner of the Romanian Handball Federation, NIRO Investment Group has supported the Romanian Women Team at the World Championship in Spain, at the end of 2021.
Romania is the only team which participated in all 25 editions of the World Championship (including this one). At the last edition, in 2019 (Japan), our team finished on the twelve place. Romania has won four medals in the World Handball Championship: gold, in 1962, silver in 1973 and 2005 and bronze in 2015.
This time, Romania reached the Main Round phase, with three wins with the teams of Iran, Kazakhstan and Puerto Rico and three loses with Norway, Holland and Sweden. Although the team didn't get to the Quarter finals, it had a beautiful performance in all the games and we trust their resolve for the future competitions.
