The show “The Eleven Warriors” – a tribute to art, tradition and dialogue between civilizations

On June 28, 2025, the stage of the National Opera in Bucharest hosted the show “The Eleven Warriors”, performed by the prestigious Longyun Martial Arts Group from China – a remarkable event that brought to the forefront the expressive power of martial arts, reinterpreted through contemporary stage means.

Organized by the Romanian Chinese House, with the support of NIRO Investment Group and under the patronage of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Bucharest, the show took place on the occasion of the International Day of Dialogue among Civilizations, reaffirming the importance of cultural exchanges as authentic bridges between peoples.

The Longyun Group, founded in 2006 by actor and martial arts master Jackie Chan, is made up of 11 young artists selected from thousands of martial arts practitioners in mainland China. The show uniquely integrated elements of traditional Kungfu, contemporary dance, ballet and theatre, offering the audience a unique visual and emotional experience.

“The Eleven Warriors” explored not only the spectacularity of movement, but also the essential values ​​of Kungfu: discipline, perseverance, balance and wisdom. Through the universal language of movement, the show highlighted the dynamism of Chinese culture and the ability of art to transcend borders and differences.

The event was enjoyed by a large audience and was a memorable evening dedicated to artistic excellence and openness to cultural diversity.
